Dental Radiation Health & Safety

 

This live online seminar satisfies the Virginia Board of Dentistry’s Radiation Certification requirement (18VAC60-30-80), thus enabling individuals certified to take dental x-rays in Virginia. This course will not provide clinical competence in taking x-rays. The emphasis of this course is on the safe use of x-ray equipment. Instructional methods used include a PowerPoint presentation, lecture, and question and answer. No one will be exposed to x-ray radiation during the class. Clinical competence by students in making dental radiographs is not an expected outcome of the class. There will be an exit assessment at the end of the course to receive your certificate. Pre-work must be completed before the class begins.
