: Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and the number of Spanish speakers is growing every day. If you are trying to learn Spanish, this course will give you the opportunity to learn basic conversational Spanish. The goal of our program is to teach basic Spanish vocabulary, grammar, literacy, and conversation skills to students with little or no knowledge of the Spanish language.
: This class is an independent-study course. Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material. A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.

Lesson 1
Module 1: Foundations of Spanish Sentences
Introduces essential building blocks of conversational Spanish, including greetings, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, sentence structure, and present?tense grammar needed to begin simple conversations.
Module 2: Expanding Sentence Structure
Builds on foundational skills by exploring adjectives, common irregular verbs, expressions of preference, and sentence construction techniques that allow learners to communicate more clearly and express ideas.
Module 3: Objects, Reflexive Verbs & Expressions
Focuses on using object pronouns, reflexive verbs, impersonal expressions, and complex sentence structures common in everyday spoken Spanish.
Module 4: Talking About the Past
Introduces past?tense communication through the preterit and imperfect tenses, comparing their uses and practicing verbs with special meanings to describe past events and experiences.
