Course Description:
This course is a great first step to a career in IT. Aimed to help students earn CompTIA Tech+ Certification, this course covers hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity topics. The IT Fundamentals Certification shows employers that you are comfortable with IT concepts and is a great starting point for more advanced certifications. Exam and materials are included. Due to the nature of this profession, moderate knowledge of computer basics is required.

What to Expect:
This is an entry-level course to prepare students for a career in IT. It is very fast-paced. An additional 20 hours or more of study time outside class hours will be expected. Students must have reliable internet at home to complete the labs and other assigned homework. Instructors will provide students with all materials and codes on the first day of class. Instructors will also provide students with specific dates and instructions for testing. Students should have a moderate understanding of computer skills and knowledge.
