Patient Service Representative Program (PSR) (CMAA)

    Are you interested in an administrative career in a healthcare field? Working the front desk of a medical office requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to solve problems. Throughout this course, you'll learn about office reception skills, general day-to-day operations, and effective communication techniques. This class will have a strong focus on learning and using medical terminology. Regular access to a computer/internet will be required. This course is offered through "live online" classes. Upon course completion, you will be eligible to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). This class will be offered as a “live online” class. This means you will need to attend all classes as scheduled but you will be doing so virtually through Zoom. You will interact with your classmates and instructor in real time but you can do so from any location. All students need access to the internet and a computer with a webcam and microphone. Chromebooks, iPads, or mobile phones are not supported for all applications.
