This is a G3 FastForward Grant Program: These programs are short-term training courses resulting in industry credentials for high-demand professions in our region.
Patient Service Representative Program (PSR) (CMAA) Program Pricing:
- Regular/Full Price: $2,145
Course Prerequisites:
- HS Diploma, GED, or you are scheduled to earn your GED within the next 12 months.
- This class will be offered in a hybrid format. Most sessions will be conducted virtually via Zoom, with a few in-person meetings. All students must have access to the internet and a computer equipped with a webcam and microphone. Please note that Chromebooks, iPads, or mobile phones may not be compatible with all applications used in the course.
- Mandatory In person Healthcare Orientation prior to the start of class
Course Description:
Are you interested in an administrative career in the healthcare field? Working at the front desk of a medical office requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities. In this course, you’ll learn office reception skills, daily operations, and effective communication techniques, with a strong emphasis on mastering medical terminology.
If you’re a "people person" with an interest in healthcare, this may be the perfect opportunity to start your career!
Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Textbooks and exam fees are included in the cost of the course.
Class meets in person on Monday and via Zoom on Wednesday of each week.
