EKG Technician

 This is a G3 FastForward Grant Program: These programs are short-term training courses resulting in industry credentials for high-demand professions in our region. If you have been a Virginia resident for at least the past 12 months, you may be able to take this class for 1/3 of the full cost (FastForward Price) or at $0 cost if you qualify for G3. EKG Program Pricing:

• Regular/Full Price: $1,800
• Fast Forward Price: $600
• G3/FANTIC Price: $0

• HS Diploma, GED, or you are scheduled to earn your GED within the next 12 months.
• Computer and regular internet access are required
• Mandatory In person Healthcare Orientation prior to the start of class
• It is recommended that you have current patient experience and/or holding a current healthcare certification or license.

Expand Your Skills and Boost Your Earning Potential with EKG Technician Certification. You will gain the expertise to accurately administer Electrocardiograms (EKGs), identify and resolve artifacts, and record precise EKG results. In this program, you’ll learn heart anatomy, physiology, electrical conduction, and how to recognize and interpret heart rhythms. This certification is highly valuable for healthcare professionals such as Cardiac Technicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians and others,  providing advanced skills to support career growth.
