Get started today on an exciting career path! The Pharmacy Technician Program is a comprehensive and engaging educational experience designed to equip aspiring pharmacy technicians with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training necessary for success. This program combines rigorous coursework with practical, real-world applications to prepare students for a rewarding career.
This 400+ hour hybrid program will be completed within 18 weeks. The online didactic portion lasts 8 weeks and includes graded quizzes, unit exams, a midterm, and a final exam. Students should plan to spend at least 25 hours a week on the didactic portion. The simulation portion of the program takes place weekly in person for the full 18 weeks and is observed and graded by local instructors. The 10-week experiential portion is completed off-campus at designated pharmacy sites with an assigned preceptor, where students are scheduled for three 8-hour shifts per week.
The course prepares students for the national certification exam. Tuition includes all online components, supplies, and the certification exam. Additional costs not included are: background check, drug screen, physical, scrubs, and registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18
- Successful completion of a Math and Reading Proficiency Assessment
- Mandatory In person Healthcare Orientation prior to the start of class

Upon the completion of the class, students will be eligible to take the certification through the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
