his comprehensive Drilling & Blasting Career Training Program prepares individuals for high-demand careers in construction, quarry operations, transportation, mining, and heavy industry. Running from November through February, the program combines hands-on instruction and industry-recognized credentials in CDL, HAZMAT, OSHA, and CPR. 
Participants gain practical knowledge in blasting regulations and compliance, explosives storage and transportation, drill operation, blast design, seismic monitoring, rock analysis, flyrock prevention, documentation, and safety management. Students also develop real-world skills in blast calculations, vibration control, equipment operation, emergency response, and regulatory reporting through a blend of classroom instruction, field exercises, case studies, and demonstrations delivered by experienced industry professionals. 
Designed and facilitated by industry professionals, this program equips graduates with workforce-ready certifications and technical competencies valued by employers across the infrastructure, construction, and aggregate industries. Training emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, environmental responsibility, and professional best practices while preparing participants for licensure and field-level responsibilities. A portion of the program may qualify for grant funding, helping eligible students reduce training costs while preparing for rewarding careers in a growing industry.
